The San Juan National Forest is scheduled to reopen tomorrow, June 21st at 3:00 pm. Due to our recent rains from tropical storm Bud, the stage 3 fire restrictions have been lifted. However, we are still under stage 2 restrictions which prohibit any type of open burning and smoking in the national forest. Specifically that means no camp fires and smoking while enjoying the forest. We urge everyone to be extra cautious since one fire will likely result in another round of stage 3 closures.
