First for the bad news: The San Juan National Forest Pagosa Ranger District has instituted a stage 3 fire restriction as of Tuesday, 6-12-2018 for all of the forest trails and roads around Pagosa Springs. This means no access of any kind including but not limited to horse back riding, hiking, jeeps and or ATV / UTV riding. This restriction is scheduled to continue until July 31st unless we see a substantial change in the weather pattern. Lets hope the monsoons come early this year.

Now for the good new: The Rio Grand National forest located just over Wolf Creek Pass is only under a stage 1 fire restriction which means they are still open to all recreational activities. This is where we typically send all of our customers anyway, regardless of fire restrictions, since it is the fastest and easiest way to access the high country from Pagosa Springs.
